The top 15 apps for life on the road

Whether you use Apple or Android, everyone needs a good app for their personal device!

So, I’ve come up with a list of the top 15 apps for life on the road that you’re sure to find helpful.

These apps are all available from the Google Play store and most of these (or their equivalent) are also on the Apple store.

As a bonus, when you set up your Cashrewards account use the referral code 7ESmt3 and you’l get $10 credited to your account straight away.

When you sign up to Shopback, use the referral code 4hptyX and you’ll get $20 credited to your account. Free money!

Here are the top 15 (ok, 16) most useful apps that I’ve found for living life on the road:

  • Google Calendar – helps plan my life – I would be lost without it.

  • Zoom – record podcasts from my phone if needed and from anywhere (as long as I have Wi-Fi).

  • Google Tasks – I’m a list person – this way my to do lists are all on my phone and I don’t have lots of rando pieces of paper.

  • Dropbox – for updating my resume on the go.

  • AusPost – I can track any deliveries and if they haven’t arrived before I’m moving on, I can redirect them through the app to my next address.

  • Adobe Scan – can use my phone as a scanner when I’m needing to upload the hundreds of documents required when signing up with an agency.

  • Digital ID – I’m one of those people who never has a purse on me. If I need to show ID, I have it ready on my phone.

  • Ausmed CPD – keep track of all your CPD.

  • My Shiftwork – I enter all my shifts in here and sync it with Google Calendar.

  • Centr – workouts and recipes on your phone, no gym needed.

  • Downdog Yoga & Barre – again, workouts that can be done anywhere. If you’re short on time, you can even set it for 10 minute workouts.

  • Eatclub – great if I’m in one of the capital cities – never pay full price for takeout again.

  • My Postcard – I use my pics, turn them into postcards and send to family and friends.

  • Goodreads – for book suggestions and keeping a list of books to read.

  • Cashrewards and /or ShopBack – earn money whilst shopping online. Use the app and go to whichver site you want to order from through the app and get cash back on your online shopping, I’ve got back over $600 so far – just for shopping!

  • AllTrails – for those hikes in the middle of nowhere with no phone reception.

Of course I also have all the usual social media apps, streaming services (Spotify, Amazon Prime etc), travel apps (Agoda, Booking.com, Airbnb) and banking apps.

Let me know which are your fave apps. I’m always ‘appy to find a new app to make my life easier!
